Saxo Bank SunGard Signs With Danish Talent

[04.08 15:37] Saxo Bank SunGard has secured one of Danish cycling sport's most promising prospects.

22-year-old Christopher Juul-Jensen and the Danish based World Tour team have agreed on a two year deal that keeps the rider in the team until 2014.

"I really look forward to start working with Christopher. We have closely monitored his development and his results, and I see him as one of the greatest prospects in Danish cycling. He is still young, but at the same time he has the right attitude and is very professional," team owner Bjarne Riis says.

Two months ago Christopher Juul-Jensen won the big U23 stagerace Coupe des Nations Ville Saguenay in Canada, and he has impressed the team when participating in our training camps during this season.

"This is certainly the culmination of a great year. I still don't quite get the whole thing as this is really a dream come true. Now I just can't wait to get started," Christopher Juul-Jensen says.

"I know there's a lot of hard work waiting, but I'm ready for that. Obviously the first step is to get to know my team mates and prove to them, that they can rely on my work and then just continue my development as a rider," he adds.

This week Christopher Juul-Jensen is participating in Tour of Denmark.
